The albillo mayor is a rescued grape variety that comes to us in the form of modern, quality whites, with limited productions.
Of the 23,000 hectares of vineyards attached to the D.O. Ribera del Duero, only 290 hectares have been registered as albillo. In the vast majority of cases, these are old vines. The Albillo is a native white variety that brings freshness and sweetness to its white wines.
Albillo white wine is intense yellow in color with golden reflections, clean and with a powerful tear. On the nose it is intense and complex, with a lot of fruit, very elegant. On the palate it is a broad and meaty wine. Wines made with the Albillo grape variety pair well with fish and shellfish.
